Ruby Roads here to share my life working in the gig industry as a delivery driver. Why? Because there aren’t courses on or job training in the gig industry. There are no managers, trainers and very limited support for new drivers.
I was so lost when I first began delivering. I can’t count how many days I swore would be my last. How many nights I found myself sitting in the middle of an apartment complex crying and ready to throw the order as far as I could. But I didn’t and now years later I love my work, I make enough money to live and still have a great quality of life.
I have daily trials and tribulations that have been my crash course in delivering. I am sharing my daily dealing with deliveries, the apps, my customers and support agents to help others with their adventures in delivering.
Today is just a quick hello. I have so much to set up I am overwhelmed. Blogs, websites, domain names, social media; I am 51 years old and leaning as I go with cell phones, computers and technology in general. I have kept up with technology over the years as a browsing user, now learning how to setup and create to be one that is browsed.
Okay this first post is boring me. Tomorrow I will start by sharing about who I am and my background which will explain why I love what I do!
Bye bye for now….LOL! (If you have spent any time on the phone with customer support you will know the phrase well)
